Concept Generation

Every sensing requirement is unique.  Telesensors can work with customers to understand their specific sensing requirement, including constraints such as size, power, cost, etc.  Performance critera are also established as part of the concept generation process. 

Design Architecture

The second phase is to explore design trade-offs and evaluate the pros and cons of different architectures.  There are always multiple methods for solving any given problem.  The design team will search for the optimum solution to best meet the customer needs.

Discrete Solutions

Many designs start with discrete prototyping as the first implementation step.  This is time and cost effective and has lower risk than starting with a more integrated approach.  Discrete solutions are perfect for showing proof of concept and may work well for low volume applications.  Once the design concept has been proven and volume requirements increase, Telesensors can move the customer to a more integrated approach.

ASIC Platform Solutions

Moving to an ASIC platform solution becomes feasable when size, cost or performance drives the need for a higher level of integration.  An ASIC platform is an ASIC with digital and analog resources built into the silicon and are configurable for different applications.  ASIC platforms provide a higher level of integration than discrete solutions but at a lower cost than traditional ASIC development.  Telesensors is an authorized design center for Triad Semiconductor, a leading provider of via configurable ASIC platforms.
